MORNING RUN AT PLATTE-GEDDES

As the sun started coming up over the trees, you could tell that it was going to be a beautiful day for a cross country race. This is the first Saturday meet of the season and it was going to be a good day. The race was held at The Platte Geddes Golf Course in Platte, SD.

AVON STORMS BY CORSICA/STICKNEY IN ROAD VICTORY

On the road and under pressure, the Avon Pirates didn’t flinch. Facing Corsica/Stickney on September 12th, Avon delivered a dominant performance, shaking off an early deficit and roaring back to secure a commanding 54-8 victory.

It was a tough night at the net for the Avon Lady Pirates on Tuesday, September 16, as they faced off against a strong Wagner Lady Raiders squad. Despite gritty defense and determined play, Avon fell in straight sets, losing 0-3 in varsity action. The loss drops their season record to 4-4.
