I’m presently engaged in a personal struggle of sorts. Not that I’m here to air my dirty laundry publicly, like so many now do, as though it were the new method for displaying one’s honor.

On occasion editors permit me to stray from hunting and fishing to discuss my favorite topic - regional history. Such is the case with John Bruguier. John Bruguier’s mother was a Yanktonai.

On Wednesday, May 25th, we stopped by the Ft. Pierre Game, Fish, & Parks licensing office. Betsy and I were on the way to visit rancher friends where I have hunted for the past 53 years.

The Library Board meeting had to be postponed for our scheduled meeting date of June 14th and will now be held on June 22nd at 4:45 at the library. The meeting is open to the public.

More than 500 Vietnam veterans, including one from South Dakota, will be inducted into the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund’s (VVMF) In Memory Program in 2022.

The Summer Reading Program kicked off on Monday, June 6 at the library. The theme for the week was "Oceans of Possibilities".
