National Newspapers in Education Week was celebrated March 2-8. We would like to recognize and applaud Avon School District’s own Jolly Roger staff for all of their creativity and hard work that they put into putting the Jolly Roger together.

Kim Wayne Joseph Hakl, born August 21, 1953, peacefully passed away at his home on February 21 in Tripp. Kim was a son to Richard and Delores Hakl of Lake Andes.
Vernon Frandsen was born on July 24, 1956 in Wagner, SD to Alyce and Ejner Frandsen. He joined his 4 years older sister Pam as their second child.
Scott was a very active member of the Wagner community.
