As the sun started coming up over the trees, you could tell that it was going to be a beautiful day for a cross country race. This is the first Saturday meet of the season and it was going to be a good day.

The race was held at The Platte Geddes Golf Course in Platte, SD. Wagner had 13 runners participate in this run. There were many other schools there making it a very big race. Each group of male and female runners had to run separately as there were so many runners. (Sometimes, meets can combine the girl’s and boy’s races if there are fewer numbers.) But, Wagner did not let this stop them; they came to race and race they did!
