SR. LEGION TOURNEY IN CREIGHTON

This past weekend, June 21-22, Wagner’s Post 11 Senior Legion boys took part in a tournament in Creighton, Nebraska, and came away with three wins. In their first game they took on Albion. Carter Cournoyer would get the complete game victory as Wagner earned a 13-0 win.

JUNIOR LEGION TEAM TOURNEY IN WINNER

On Saturday, June 21, Wagner’s Post 11 Junior Legion team traveled to Winner play two games. The first was against the team from Gregory.

JR. AND SR. LEGION POST 11 VS ALEXANDRIA ANGELS

On Friday, June 27. the Alexandria Angels Post 41 Junior and Senior Legion teams traveled to Wagner for two games against Post 11. The juniors were up first and they would ride some hot bats enroute to a 15-7 victory. Wagner’s hitters collected 12 hits.

14U TEENERS HOST AT HENNIES FIELD

On Wednesday, June 25, the VFW Post 7319 14U teeners played host to Parkston for two games at Hennies Field. In the first game Parkston used a walk, an error, a single, and a wild pitch to score twice and gain the early lead.

BOTH TEAMS FALL IN SCOTLAND

On Wednesday, June 25, Wagner’s American Legion Post 11 Junior and Senior Legion teams traveled to Scotland for a double dip against the Scotland- Menno-Freeman-Canistota 79ers. The juniors were first and would end up losing by a 6-3 score that went five innings due to time constraints.

HOME GAME MOVED TO TABOR

On Tuesday, June 24, Wagner’s Post 11 Junior and Senior Legion teams moved their games from Wagner to Tabor due to wet field conditions. Wagner’s juniors were the first to take the field.

DOUBLEHEADER IN SALEM

On Friday, June 20, Wagner’s Post 11 Junior and Senior Legion teams trekked up to Salem for a double header. The junior legion took to the field first and would fall by a score of 6-0. Avery Medicine Bear was the starting pitcher and he tossed 2.2 innings.
