SENIOR TEAM TAKES ON THE WHITECAPS

On Thursday, July 10, Wagner’s Post 11 Senior Legion team traveled to Geddes to take on the Platte-Geddes Whitecaps. What was a close game throughout the first six innings turned out to be 13-3 win for Wagner. Edward Ulrich started on the bump for Wagner.

TEENERS RAINED OUT IN SCOTLAND

On Monday, July7, Wagner’s VFW Post 7319 teeners traveled to Scotland to play what turned out to be just one game that was rain-shortened. Wagner would lose this contest by a count of 8-0 in 2.1 innings.

14U BOYS WIN HOSTING CANOVA

On Wednesday, July 16, the VFW Post 7319 14U boys played host to Canova for one game. The boys played some pretty solid baseball and would prevail over the Gang by a score of 4-3. We used four pitchers in this one to get the win.

18U SOFTBALL TEAM UNDEFEATED AT LEAGUE TOURNAMENT

AVON WINS 12U REC LEAGUE TOURNAMENT

The Avon 12U softball team battled against nine other teams to win the 12U REC tournament of the Little Missouri Softball league. In game one, Avon defeated Springfield by a score of 12-0. Leading hitters for Avon were Rowan Brandt with 2 singles and Ashley Soukup with a double.

JUNIOR/SENIOR LEGION TEAMS WEEKLY RECAP

On Tuesday, July 8, the Post 11 teams were right back at it as they played host to Parkston. Dominic Doom took the ball for Wagner and he pitched a solid three innings.

18U GIRLS SOFTBALL RESULTS

Wednesday, July 2 Avon 18U headed to Plankinton to face Mt. Vernon Venom 16s in a doubleheader. In game one Avon took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first and continued on scoring again in the 2nd, 4th, and 5th innings. Avon was able to outhit Venom 11-4 in the contest.

TEENERS TRAVEL TO ALEXANDRIA COMING HOME WITH TWO WINS

On Monday, June 30, Wagner’s Post 7319 14U teener team traveled up to Alexandria for a twin bill and came away with two wins. In the first game Tyler Ronfeldt took the ball and gave us three innings of work.
