TEENERS RAINED OUT IN SCOTLAND

On Monday, July7, Wagner’s VFW Post 7319 teeners traveled to Scotland to play what turned out to be just one game that was rain-shortened.

Wagner would lose this contest by a count of 8-0 in 2.1 innings. Landon Ronfeldt was on the mound for Wagner and gave up eight earned runs on three hits while walking five and striking out one. Cooper Slaba got one out in the third inning before the game was called. Cooper also ended up being the only baserunner as he reached via an error.

Canistota-Freeman then came to town on Wednesday, July 9, and Wagner came away with a resounding 20-2 victory. Jackson Woods had the big night as he went 3 for 3 with five RBI and four runs scored, one of those hits being a double. Colton Zephier also collected three hits. He drove in a run and scored a run. Connor Gabel and Cooper Gene Kuhlman had two hits each with Gabel scoring three runs and Kuhlman, two. Kuhlman also had an RBI. Tyler Ronfeldt, Alex Reiter, Austin DeVries, Landon Ronfeldt, and Jacob Kotab all had one hit to contribute to the victory, and they all scored at least one run. Mason Milk scored twice and drove a run in. Ethan Gabel scored one run as well.

Connor Gabel got the win on the mound as he tossed four innings giving up two unearned runs on three hits. He walked none and struck out four. Tyler Ronfeldt threw one inning, giving up no runs on one walk.
