On Wednesday, July 16, the VFW Post 7319 14U boys played host to Canova for one game. The boys played some pretty solid baseball and would prevail over the Gang by a score of 4-3.

We used four pitchers in this one to get the win. Connor Gabel got the start and was efficient in his two innings of work. He allowed zero runs on two hits, a walk, and he struck out two. Wagner scored a run in the bottom of the second to take the lead. Landon Ronfeldt led off getting hit by a pitch. He would later score on an RBI groundout by Jacob Kotab.

Jackson Woods then came on to pitch the third. He allowed no runs. He walked two batters, hit one, and struck out one. Wagner added three runs in the bottom half of the inning. Cooper Slaba led off with an opposite field single. This was followed by an error and a Tyler Ronfeldt bunt single. Connor Gabel drew a bases loaded walk and Colton Zephier and Ethan Gabel each scored on a wild pitch.

Tyler Ronfeldt pitched the next two innings allowing one run on two hits. He also hit two batters and struck out one. Landon Ronfeldt came on to finish things out. He threw two innings. He gave up two earned runs on one hit as he walked three, hit one, and struck out one.

Ruger Loeffler, Slaba, Woods, and Tyler Ronfeldt each had one hit.
