The Bon Homme High School FFA Chapter is excited to announce that Jolene Brown will be speaking in Tyndall during National FFA Week! Jolene is an award winning and nationally recognized speaker who will present “The Top Ten Mistakes That Break Up a Family Business!

Currently, the Avon Yearbook Staff is hard at work creating the 2022 edition of the AHS yearbook. The book is one of the only records available each school year. These 80 pages contain memories of sports, fine arts, academics, student life, class rosters, and many other surprises.

On Friday, January 21, Mrs. Benita Kuhlman’s first grade class had a Q and U wedding. Mrs. Kuhlman uses this wedding as a way to help her students remember that in phonics you cannot have the letter Q without the letter U.

This year the Avon Drama Club performed “The Empty Chair,” a one-act drama, by Tim Kelly. It is about a group of teenagers recovering from substance abuse. Robert died of overdose and the others are left wondering! Each teen speaks about his/her memories with him through a series of monologues.

Avon Archery Team, along with their Coaches Troy Soukup and Chuck Zacharias, have begun practice for the season. The 15 archers from grades six through twelve practice every Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m.

Another basketball season is underway in Avon. The fifth and sixth junior high boys basketball season has begun! Coach Lindsey Fathke said, “The boys started shortly after Christmas break and have been working hard!

Sometimes finding help is like pulling teeth. Three weeks ago, however, fortune smiled on the junior class in the form of a donation. The donation consisted of 20 pounds of hamburger and 5 pounds of already made tavern meat.

Another Pirate Science Fair is coming upon us on Tuesday, February 15. Kids grades 6-9 will show off their science projects in the Avon auxiliary gym. Before the projects are open to the public, guest judges from the community and Mr.
