LAVELLE TAKES ON NATIONAL ANTHEM AT BASKETBALL DOUBLE HEADER

Addy Lavelle, a 5th grade daughter of Liz Eggers and Jason Lavelle, sang the National Anthem on January 18 at the basketball double header against Viborg-Hurley.

Addy had never sung the National Anthem before. Then, in one of her voice lessons, she was humming the National Anthem and Mrs. Autumn Schultz, the choir teacher, thought it would be perfect for her to perform.

Addy practiced for months trying to perfect her big debut. The day she was going to sing, she sang in front of the high schoolers. She said, “Singing in front of the high schoolers took off some of the nerves that I had from before.”

Addy definitely wants to sing the National Anthem again in her future. She said, “I am overall proud of my performance, and there is more room for improvement.”
