The library staff are beginning to start thinking about Summer 2022 programming. The theme is “Ocean of Possibilities”. The theme lends itself to ocean animals of course, but we are also looking at any animals that live in salt or fresh water. As far as “possibilities” the list can be endless.

Fall always puts me in a literary mood, perhaps because the South Dakota Festival of Books is held in late September or early October. I relish the opportunity to listen to writers discuss their books and always leave inspired to work on new projects.

Charles Mix Electric Association of Lake Andes, SD is proud to announce that Camden Roth has been chosen as a “Touchstone Energy Scholar of the Week” by Dakota News Now. Camden is a senior at Wagner Community School.

The Bon Homme Community choir is making preparations for this years Easter Cantata. This years Cantata is titled "Closer to the Cross" celebrating the Journey of Christ. Combining old and new music with excellent narration to make a meaningful Cantata.

Kathryn Doom was selected as the winner of the South Dakota VFW Voice of Democracy contest. Winners of the Voice of Democracy. Kathryn's audio essay was one of three from the Wagner Community School that advanced to District competition.

Governor, Kristi Noem, signed an Executive Proclamation declaring the week of February 7th as National School Counseling Week. School counselors are employed in schools to help students reach their full potential.
