FIRST TWO WINS

Wagner’s Post 7319 VFW 14U teener team traveled to Tyndall on Monday, June 9, for two games. It was a good night for these boys as they would get their first two wins of the year. In the first game, Jacob Kotab took to the hill and earned the complete game win.

SCOTLAND-MENNO 14-10

Wagner’s 14U VFW Post 7319 teeners hosted the nine from Scotland-Menno on Wednesday, June 11, and went down in defeat by a score of 14-10. Cooper Slaba started on the mound and couldn’t get out of the first inning.

LADY PIRATES FINISH EIGHTH PLACE AT STATE

GAME ONE Eventual state champions Deuel Cardinals defeated Avon Varsity Lady Pirates 9-2 on Thursday. Avon Lady Pirates were the first to get on the board in the third when Rilyn Thury tripled, scoring one run. Macy Voigt opened the game for Avon Varsity Lady Pirates.

POST 11 SENIOR LEGION TEAM VS. CHAMBERLAIN POST 3 TEAM

On Friday, June 6, Wagner’s Post 11 Senior Legion team played host to Chamberlain’s Post 3 team. Wagner sent Joey Cournoyer to the hill for his first start of the season. He was very effective as he needed 49 to pitches to get through his four innings of work.

On Monday, June 2, Wagner’s 14U Teener team playing under the sponsorship of VFW Post 7319 started their season in Parkston with a 19-4 loss.

LADY PIRATES SOFTBALL ACTION

OFFENSE HARD TO COME BY IN PIRATES' DEFEAT AGAINST MOBRIDGE-POLLOCK Both teams were strong in the circle on Monday, but Mobridge-Pollock was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 3-1 victory over the Lady Pirates.

SOUTHEAST ELITE TRAVELS TO SIOUX FALLS

The Sout heast El ite traveled to Sioux Falls to take on a pair of teams from Hartford at the Sanford fields. In game one vs. the Havoc, The Elite got on the board first when Macy Haynes and Whitney Wolf walked and scored on a series of wild pitches.
