SENIOR LEGION TEAM TRAVELS TO PARKSTON

On Friday, June 13, Wagner’s Post 11 Senior Legion team went on the road to take on Parkston and suffered their first loss of the season as they went down by a score of 8-7.

TEENERS HOST DOUBLEHEADER VS SALEM

On Wednesday, June 18, Wagner’s 14U Teeners sponsored by VFW Post 7319 played host to the team from Salem in a doubleheader.

Avon softball team awards were presented last week. Recipients are:

12UC REC DEFEAT CAVALIERS

The Avon 12U REC defeated the Tyndall 12U Cavaliers 14-1. Avon got off to a quick start when they scored 5 in the bottom of the 1st. Emersyn Haenfler, Harper Kracht, and Rowan Brandt walked to load the bases. Johanna Namminga then delivered a double to left which scored all three.

SOUTHEAST ELITE RESULTS FROM LOWELL RANG TOURNAMENT IN MITCHELL

Game one: The Elite beat the Central Bank Wildcats by a score of 18-5. The leading hitter for the Elite was Whitley Wolf with a double and a single. Harper Kracht and Emersyn Haenfler combined on the hill for the win. The duo combined for 4 strikeoutsin4inningsofwork.

14U TEENERS HIGHLIGHTS

Wagner’s 14U VFW Post 7319 teeners hosted the nine from Scotland-Menno on Wednesday, June 11, and went down in defeat by a score of 14-10. Cooper Slaba started on the mound and couldn’t get out of the first inning.
Landon Ronfeldt leads off first as the Wagner Teener 14U team took on Menno-Scotland. The Wagner team played a tough game and came from behind to tie the game, but Menno-Scotland brought out a strong inning in the end to take the win 14-0.

WAGNER HOSTS THE 79ERS

On Tuesday, June 10, Wagner’s Post 11 Junior and Senior Legion teams played host to the 79ers from Canistota-Freeman- Scotland-Menno. The juniors took the field first and got off to a good start, using six walks, three hits, and one hit by pitch to score seven runs in the first inning.

JR. SR. DOUBLEHEADER IN ALEXANDRIA

On Monday, June 9, Wagner’s Post 11 Junior and Senior Legion teams traveled to Alexandria for a doubleheader. In the first contest Wagner lost a tight, extra-inning game by a score of 4-3. Edward Ulrich started the game and lasted 6.2 innings and did a fine job of keeping us in the game.
