SDSU ANNOUNCES DEAN'S LIST

BROOKINGS, S.D. - The following local students have been named to the dean's list for academic excellence after the spring 2020 semester at South Dakota State University.

ORAL INTERP TAKES 3RD AT SIOUX FALLS WASHINGTON

It is one of the toughest and largest meets of the year; The Sioux Falls Washington Circle of Courage Oral Interp Meet held on October 17th. Wagner had 12 entries in this meet, three of whom qualified for top placings.

It was time for another virtual tournament. This time the Wagner Interp team competed in The Harrisburg Tiger Interp Contest. The videos of the students were sent in and then judged by a panel of judges virtually.

Greer Post #11 American Legion

Greer Post #11 American Legion held its monthly meeting October 15, 2020 at the Post Home. Commander Robert Kucera called the members to attention. Chaplain Donald Kotab gave the invocation, which was followed by the Pleldge of Allegiance.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – David Koupal, of Wagner, swore in as the newest member of the South Dakota Army National Guard’s 155th Engineer Company during an enlistment ceremony at the Military Entrance Processing Station in Sioux Falls, October 19th.

The week of September 27-October 3rd, 2020 is Banned Books Week. Libraries across the U.S and the world bring the topic of banning books to the attention of the public. Have you read a banned book? Maybe it is one of your favorite books. Last year there were 377 attempts to ban books across the U.S.

Andes Central-Dakota Christian Eagles traveled to Armour September 22 where they fought hard but came up short 3-0. Lexie VanderPol had 7 kills, 2 blocks, 4 digs and 1 ace serve. Mackenzie Muckey had 4 kills, 6 set assists, 11 digs and 2 ace serves.
