Greer Post #11 American Legion held its monthly meeting October 15, 2020 at the Post Home. Commander Robert Kucera called the members to attention. Chaplain Donald Kotab gave the invocation, which was followed by the Pleldge of Allegiance.

The Preamble to the Constitution of the American Legion was recited by all members.

Adjutant Rados read the minutes of the September meeting, which were approved as read.

Committee reports were given as follows:

Dan Gruenwald distributed a financial report for the month of September to members, which was approved as given.

Americanism: Don Kotab reported he took information for oratory, Boys State and Youth Trooper programs to the Wagner School. Youth Trooper is for a whole week, they only take 24 students. Boys State this year will be for Junior and Senior students because they didn't have Boys State last year.

Bingo: Was decided to not have Bingo due to so many local COVID cases.

Service Offcer: Merle Stone gave sick call and relief.

VFW will not have their Veteran's Day Banquet. They will do their raffe November 11th.

Wagner School has cancelled all Veteran's Programs at the school.

It was decided to not start having a meal before the meeting until December or later.

Dennis Clemens asked how many businesses are flying a flag and if the Legion should help.

A thank you card and donation was received from the Floyd Redwing family.

Jerry Seiner reported North-Western made a mistake on the electric bill and is checking into reducing different charges.

Next round of flu shots at the VA Clinic in Wagner is November 4.

It was reported to get Veteran on your drivers license, take your DD 214 to where you get your drivers license renewed. Don't have to wait until it's due.

District 8 Fall District meeting in Wakonda elected new Commander Jennifer Van-Roekel, and Vice Commander Brent Frier.

Should be having a county meeting soon.

We bought a new updated Preamble from State.
