Just before Memorial Day each year, the Wagner American Legion Auxiliary sponsors a Poppy Poster Contest for grades 2 to 12 and a Poppy Coloring Contest for first grade and kindergarten. The posters and coloring pages are displayed for Memorial Day in most businesses in Wagner.
