The Avon Camber of Commerce “Parade of Lights” was held on Saturday night and the “Caribbean & Supporting KPOD & and 155th” was named the Grand Winner.
The week of Dec. 1st thru the 6th will be very busy at the library. Dec 1st we will have ended the Children’s Book Week at the library. Children were encouraged to read selections from author,Dave Pilkey; Dog Man, Captain Underpants, etc.

Four volleyball players from Andes Central Dakota Christian were recognized by the Little Missouri Valley Conference and the South Central Conference.
SIOUX FALLS—The Older Adult Resource Network (OARN), a program of LSS of South Dakota serving Douglas, Charles Mix, Hutchinson and Bon Homme counties, is pleased to announce a limited time grocery voucher program to help address food needs.
President Jamie Soukup welcomed all members with a loud bang of the bell for our last November Rotary meeting. The first order of business was the induction of a new member Ted Honke.
This year the Parade of Lights will return to its original route of heading south down Main Street from Custom Touch and then west to the Good Samaritan Center parking lot. The route change is to ensure that the new residents can enjoy the floats.

The LifeServe Blood Center hosted a blood drive at the Wagner High School with a huge success of 50 donors registered and 55 units donated!
Wagner Community School will host its 3rd Annual Hanhepi Wi Waniyetu Round Dance on Friday, December 5, at the school’s Auxiliary Gym. The event continues to grow each year as community members gather to celebrate culture, music, and togetherness.

The first snow storm of the year dumped up to 9” of heavy wet snow in the Avon area with other parts of the state receiving nearly a foot.
