Four volleyball players from Andes Central Dakota Christian were recognized by the Little Missouri Valley Conference and the South Central Conference. Little Missouri Valley Conference selected Abbi Baan Hoffman and Kennedy Muckey for All Conference and Maddie Gray for Honorable Mention. South Central Conference recognized Kennedy Muckey and Lydia Hansum for All Conference and Abbi Baan Hoffman for Honorable Mention.

Petersek's Raven Angus promoted their Customer Appreciation Sale where they were selling 500 Commercial Bred Heifers and 150 Replacement Heifers.

Governor Mike Rounds had sent a letter to President George Bush requesting a Presidential Disaster Declaration to reimburse state, tribal, and local units of government, as well as rural electric cooperatives for damage caused by the recent storm. The declaration is based on the damage from storms in 25 South Dakota counties.
