President Jamie Soukup welcomed all members with a loud bang of the bell for our last November Rotary meeting. The first order of business was the induction of a new member Ted Honke. President Jamie did the honors by introducing Ted to the membership, reading him the induction proceedings, and presenting him with his official Rotary Plaque, flag, and pin. Honke was brought to the Wagner club by Rotarian Jeff Doom. Ted was born and raised in Wagner. He had lived for many years in Rapid City South Dakota and was highly active in the Jaycee organization. His residence now is in rural Wagner, and he was given a warm welcome of applause by the Wagner club.

Song leader Rachel Woods led the membership in “I’ve Been Working on the Railroad” followed by our Membership Minute given by Rotarian Patty Frei. This was our last meeting in November which is Rotary Foundation Month. She read a thank you letter from the Rotary Foundation for our Wagner Club being a leader in Rotary. Our club gave to the Foundation over the course of 2025 and helped to make a difference for all the life-changing work the Foundation does. The Wagner Rotary Club is committed to programs that bring positive and lasting changes to communities close to home and around the world.

Assistant Sergeant at Arms Frei started the fines off with penalizing himself $2 for not reading the text about being the Assistant SAA for the day; a $1 for eating so slowly before levying the fines; $2 to Jeff Doom for eating someone else’s meal for the day plus his own; and $2 for having food on his face; $2 to Amanda Bechen for being late for the meeting and losing out on her meal; you snooze you lose!; $2 to Jerry Henke for hurting Kathe with the garage door; $2 to Jerry Weber for not having any morning coffee and needing some immediately; $2 to Jeanne Crowe for having all of the bananas from her tree making a mess all over the highway; $2 to Craig Krsnak for not being able to find his stocking hat this morning on such a chilly day; $2 each to Jamie Soukup and Jordan Weber for the so called “Valentine’s day envelopes” passed out to all Rotarians. Happy Fines of $5 came from Josh Christensen for winning the huge payout on the Queen of Hearts from last week’s drawing; $5 from Bill Frei who is happy Thanksgiving is coming and all his kids are coming home; Amanda Bechen $2 for not having any dessert today since her meal mysteriously disappeared and she could have lost that also.

Rotarian Linda Soukup had a chance at winning the new Queen of Hearts drawing but only found the four of Hearts. Secretary Craig Krsnak announced that the attendance race is widening quite a bit. There were three misses on the Christensen Team and only one miss on the Woods team. Totals now stand at ten misses for the Woods Team and eighteen misses for the Christensen Team. Football winners were Aaron Hanson sold by Rachel Woods, and Mike Brunsing sold by Becky Brunsing.

President Jamie Soukup was the program chair for the day, and he handed out a questionnaire for all the members to fill out. The questions were concerning the programs, our membership, and suggestions for future programs. A roundtable discussion was held after the forms were turned in and the talk centered around membership. The Wagner Rotary would like everyone to know that if you are interested in joining the Wagner Rotary just ask a present member and we would be glad to answer any and all questions you may have. We are a fun group dedicated to serving our organization locally and worldwide and to serving our Wagner Community. Don’t be bashful about coming to a meeting, just talk to any current Rotary member about visiting. We would love to have you visit a club meeting!
