SIOUX FALLS—The Older Adult Resource Network (OARN), a program of LSS of South Dakota serving Douglas, Charles Mix, Hutchinson and Bon Homme counties, is pleased to announce a limited time grocery voucher program to help address food needs.
Older adults, 55 and above, and those who care for older adults are eligible to receive a grocery voucher if there are identified needs. Vouchers are for $75 and will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. No cash awards will be made. Funds cannot be used for alcohol, tobacco, gift cards or cash back. They are good at a variety of stores throughout the region. At the time of issue, a store will be assigned to the beneficiary.
Current and past OARN clients and older adults residing in Douglas, Bon Homme, Hutchinson and Charles Mix counties are eligible if they complete a qualifying assessment (or a follow-up assessment for past clients). To schedule an in-person assessment, older adults or family caregivers of older adults can contact the OARN Coordinator at 605-496-4388 or OARN@LssSD.org. During the assessment process, the OARN Coordinator will address this opportunity and, if applicable, distribute the voucher.
Assessments must be completed by December 31, 2025. For more information about OARN, visit OARN.LssSD. org or call 605-496-4388.
