The week of Dec. 1st thru the 6th will be very busy at the library. Dec 1st we will have ended the Children’s Book Week at the library. Children were encouraged to read selections from author,Dave Pilkey; Dog Man, Captain Underpants, etc. Each book read earned the reader a ticket for the drawing for a Roblox Gift card.

Friday, Dec. 5th is the date for the Library Scavenger Hunt for children in grades 4-12 in conjunction with the costumer appreciation day in Lake Andes. Clues can be picked up after school and are due back to the library by 1:00 on Saturday, the 6th of Dec. Pizza will be the reward for the 1st 3 finishers.

Friday night beginning at 5:00, and sessions at 6:00 and 7:00 is the Porch Pot Party at the library for adults. At this writing there are still openings to sign up. $10 holds your spot and we request a donation of non-perishable food for the local food banks when attending the party. LSS OARN is assisting with funding for supplies for the party. Call or visit the library to sign up.

Dec 6th is prepping a vehicle for the Parade of Lights in Lake Andes. Parade begins with line-up at the Health Care Center at 5:30 and the Parade at 6:00.

Dec. 9th the final Library board meeting for Lake Andes Public Library will be held at the library at 4:45. The meeting is open to the public.
