SENIOR LEGION TEAM TRAVELS TO PARKSTON

On Friday, June 13, Wagner’s Post 11 Senior Legion team went on the road to take on Parkston and suffered their first loss of the season as they went down by a score of 8-7. Wagner held a 7-4 lead going into the bottom of the 7th but was unable to close it out as Parkston used three walks and three singles to walk it off.

Joey Cournoyer started on the mound. He went 6.1 innings. He gave up six runs, five earned, on eight hits and three walks while fanning eight. Brady Cournoyer then came on in relief and was only able to retire one of the five batters he faced.

Joey Cournoyer led the way at the plate as he collected three hits and scored a run while also drawing a walk. Frank Soukup went 2 for 4 on the night while Edward Ulrich, Malakai Segura, Dominic Doom, and Landon Mudder each had a single. Doom drove in two runs while Mudder and Brady Cournoyer drove in one apiece.
