Greer Post #11 American Legion held its monthly meeting January 21, 2021 at the Post Home. Commander Robert Kucera called the members to attention. Acting Chaplain Mark Wiechmann gave the invocation, which was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

The 7/8 Wagner boys travelled to Platte to take on the Platte-Geddes Black Panthers for a pair of basketball games on Thursday. In the first game, the B team jumped out to 4-2 lead after the first quarter, but found themselves down by 3 at half by a score of 9-6.

Wagner hosted the Burke Cougars in a combined 7/8 game in the Wagner School Auxiliary Gym on Tuesday. The Raiders got off to a fast start again and jumped out to a 16-5 lead after the first quarter.

The team members of the 5th grade Wagner Boys Basketball were the real winners last week. In the final seconds of the game they came together to help their teammate, Nathan, a student with a developmental disability, have a chance to score.

Greer Unit#11, American Legion Auxiliary met on January 21, 2021 at 7 p.m., at the post home with seven members and one guest, McKenzie Roberts. The meeting was called to order by President Juanita Stone. Chaplain Margie Stone opened with prayer.
