MATTHEW 7:21,22,23 “Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? And in thy name cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works. And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”(KJV)

There are many people around that claim to be Christians. But they fall short because even if they want to act like a Christian they have not done the will of the Father. They have not trusted Jesus and only Jesus for their salvation.

They can act all they want but they must realize that God doesn’t look on the outside but He knows their heart.

What they are doing is pleasing themselves and others around them but until they receive Jesus as their Savior they are not pleasing God with all their efforts.

None of their own actions, no matter how good they seem will get them one inch of heaven. That is why in this case Jesus said, “ I never knew you.”

They fit right into ROMANS 3:23 “For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.”(KJV)

It is easy to pretend to be something but to really have true salvation it is in and through Jesus Christ.

Before our salvation we are as it says in ISAIAH 64:6 “But we are all as unclean things, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags.”(KJV)

So no matter how good a person pretends to be a Christian and not saved all their actions are just like filthy rags to God.

A person who is trying to be a Christian and is not can cause others to be led away. Beware of those TV Evangelists, unscriptural church pastors and still others who try to teach false doctrines pretending to be Christians.

God says to them and about them,” I never knew you, depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.”(KJV)

Do you see that pretending to be a Christian just doesn’t work?
