BEESON RECEIVES PROCEEDS FROM FIRST ANNUAL WBS OPEN

On Saturday, July 31, Wagner Building & Supply held their first annual golf tournament, the WBS Open, which was located at Randall Hills Golf Course in Pickstown. The first ever tournament was a fun day and had a great turnout!

BLOOD DRIVE TURN OUT

The LifeServe Blood Center blood drive held in Avon on Thursday, July 29, 2021, had a great turn-out! 16 donors registered and 15 units of life saving blood was donated. Thank you to everyone that came out to help boost the LOCAL blood supply!

STATE LIBRARY ANNOUNCES $1.9M IN GRANTS TO 78 LIBRARIES

PIERRE, S.D. – At today’s State Library Board meeting, it was announced that 78 South Dakota libraries have received $1.9 million in grants funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) through American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds.

FEEDING SOUTH DAKOTA

Feeding South Dakota food distribution will be held Friday, Aug. 27 at the Scotland Community Church at 8:45 a.m.; the Tyndall Fire Hall at 10:30 a.m. and at the Avon Fire Hall at 12 noon. This will continue to be a “drive-thru” distribution until further notice.
