ACHIEVEMENT DAYS PREPARATION IN FULL SWING

The 2021 Charles Mix 4-H Achievement Days preparations are well on their way. The 4-H families worked really hard last week to spruce up the 4-H Center and Grounds.

President Bryan Slaba asked the Wagner Rotary Club members to come to attention for the weekly meeting on Wednesday, July 28 th . There was one guest present who was introduced by Rotarian Ken Cotton. He was Curt Kaberna, longtime resident, and farmer of the Wagner Community.

GOOD TURN-OUT AT LOCAL BLOOD DRIVE

The LifeServe Blood Center blood drive held in Wagner on Monday, July 26 had a fantastic turn-out! 43 donors registered and 46 units of life saving blood was donated. Thank you to everyone that came out to help boost the LOCAL blood supply!

14TH ANNUAL WAGNER CANCER WALK TO BE HELD

“Together we unite and hope for a cure” is the theme of the 14th annual Wagner Cancer Walk. The annual Walk is back after a scaled down version last year because of the pandemic. This year's Cancer Walk will be held Saturday, August 7 at Wagner Lake.

PURPLE HEART RECOGNITION DAY

PIERRE - At the request of the South Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs, Gov. Kristi Noem has proclaimed Saturday, August 7 as "Purple Heart Recognition Day," calling on all South Dakotans to honor those men and women who are recipients of the Purple Heart Medal.

HSC JULY EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH

A lot of things have changed in the past three decades at HSC, and Jerry Christjans, who goes by the nickname “Crush,” has been around for a lot of it. He loves HSC so much he’s worked there three different times. His first job at HSC was as a Mental Health Aide in 1989.
