Lake Andes Fire Department received their Self-contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) mask this weekend. This was a joint grant between Charles Mix and Douglas County. The grant was an AFGE grant that was awarded in 2021. Lake Andes received six SCBA and Ravinia received three SCBA.

“Spring into Reading” and the celebration of Poetry month are both set up and ready for our patrons to come in and help us celebrate. The library will be closing at 3:00 on Friday the 15th and be closed on Saturday the 16th and Monday the 18th for the Easter holiday.

The Wagner American Legion Auxiliary had a very successful Soup and Sandwich Luncheon and Bake Sale on Thursday, March 31. The Auxiliary would appreciates all of those who attended and all of those who donated.

KDKO began giving this award in 2017 to our 3 local basketball teams, the Andes Central/Dakota Christian, Marty Indian and Wagner schools. Unfortunately, in 2020 we did not award a player of the year due to the pandemic.

BATTLE CREEK, NE-March 28, 2022; Farmers Pride an area leading farmer cooperative, announced today it is acquiring Avon Farmers Elevator of Avon, South Dakota. The purchase will include grain facilities, agronomy storage and equipment and bulk fuel delivery and plant assets.

The Bon Homme Community Choir is making final preparations for this years Easter Cantata. "Closer to the Cross" is the title for this years Easter Cantata. The choir once again is directed by Autumn Schultz.

The LifeServe Blood Center blood drive sponsored by Wagner High School on Monday, 3/28/22, had a fantastic turn-out! 33 donors registered and 36 units of life saving blood was donated. Thank you to everyone that came out to help boost the LOCAL blood supply!
