There’s nothing like a few solid hours of drive time through some wide-open country with a big, beautiful sky filling your windshield to set your life in perspective. I recently had the opportunity to spend a few days on the road—just me, my dog, Frankie, and Spotify over the Bluetooth in the car.

The library will be taking a Spring Break beginning at 3:00 on Friday, April 15th . We will be closed Saturday the 16th and Monday the 18th. We will open again on Tuesday the 19th for our regular hours.

On Wednesday, April 6th, President Bryan Slaba rang the bell to bring the meeting to order. Guests were introduced, including Officer Myles Runyon of the Wagner Police Department guest of Becky Brunsing. Pastor Bill led the group in prayer.

BIG AND LITTLE DANCE HELD FOR GRADES PK-6

The Annual Big and Little Dance held Monday, March 30th, had a big turnout and was successful in raising money for the Music Department. The kids had a blast dancing the night away and making memories with friends, classmates, parents and guardians.

MEADOW VIEW MANOR BATHROOM UPDATES COMPLETE

Thanks to the generous donations received this fall, the bathroom updates have been completed for the residents at Meadow View Manor. I had the privilege of meeting with two residents to see what their thoughts of the new recent renovations were.

FEEDING SOUTH DAKOTA

Feeding South Dakota food distribution will be held Friday, April 22 at the Scotland Community Church at 8:45 a.m.; the Tyndall Fire Hall at 10:30 a.m. and at the Avon Fire Hall at 12 noon. This will continue to be a “drive-thru” distribution until further notice.

NEW NAME FOR CHARLES MIX REPUBLICAN WOMEN

The Charles Mix Republican Women have changed their name to South Central Republican Women. President Trudy Qualm states, “We currently have members from eight counties from this area, so the name Charles Mix Republican Women no longer reflects who we are and the area we focus on.
