The Wagner Rotary Club was welcomed to their weekly meeting by President Bryan Slaba. Guests for the day were introduced by Jeff Doom who brought his wife Julie (who also delivered the meals for the club), Ed Kirwan who was Jeff’s program, and Mick Kirwan, Ed’s father.

Alec and Sierra (Svatos) Weber are excited to announce the birth of their daughter Clare Josephine Weber on March 15th, 2022. She was born at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton at 3:43 p.m. weighing 7 pounds 5 ounces. Clare was welcomed home by her older sisters, Marie (4) and Zelie (2).

Michael Wilbur, music instructor at WCS, was among those at the school joining the fun with lots of green worn by staff and students on St Patrick’s day.

American Legion Greer Post #11 held its monthly meeting on March 17, 2022 at the Post home with 27 members in attendance. Commander Clayton Rados thanked the Legion Auxiliary for the wonderful meal and special cake commemorating the 103rd year of the American Legion.

Greer Unit #11, American Legion Auxiliary met on March 17, 2022 at the post home with 15 members and 2 guests present. Prior to the meeting, Auxiliary served the March meal and presented the post with a beautifully decorated cake in honor of the American Legion’s 103rd Birthday.

On July 1st, 2021, under initiated measure 26, medical marijuana became legal in South Dakota and since then Ruth Bouza, of Wagner, has put in a lot of hours to see her new business plan come to fruition.

The United States Department of Veterans Affairs released its Asset and Infrastructure Review Report March 14, that includes recommendations by the VA Secretary.

Wagner Rotary Club met on Wednesday March 16th with three guests. Michelle Juffer was a guest on behalf of Laurie Kidd, and two Senior students from WHS were present. Rotarian Laurie Kidd wore several hats at the meeting.

Work is being completed for the second annual “605 Unity Jam”, which will be held at Wagner Lake on Sunday, June 12. The event will begin at noon and conclude around 9:30 in the evening. The Unity Jam Planning Team has been meeting to help create this special project.
