The Wagner Volleyball team traveled to Hanson on Tuesday, September 27th. The Varsity and JV came away with wins and the C team split 1-1 due to time restraints. The varsity put up a solid win with scores of 25-14, 25-16 and 25-16.

On Saturday, October 1st the Lady Raiders went up against the Tri-Valley Mustangs. After a fun morning of traditional team bonding the Raiders came out ready to play and earned another tally in the win column with scores of 25-8, 25-17, and 25-17.

WAGNER SENIORS RECOGNIZE THEIR PARENTS AT HALF TIME

The Wagner Red Raiders hosted the number 4 ranked MVP last Friday night but fell short. The final score was 48-24 with MVP coming out on top. The Raiders got off to a slow start giving up 24 points in the first quarter.

Avon Pirates traveled to Corsica for some Friday night football action. At the end of the first quarter Avon found themselves down 12-22, but came back in the 2nd quarter to add 8 to the scoreboard. ThethirdquarterendedscorelessforthePirates,butCorsica-Stickney ran in a touchdown.

Avon 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams traveled to Wagner Saturday, September 24 for the Jr. High Volleyball Tournament. Teams included were: Avon, Lake Andes, Wagner, Bon Homme, Gregory, Burke, Hanson and Parker.

National 4-H Week is October 2-8, 2022 and coincides with the new 4-H year! Learn by doing with your friends in a fun and safe setting. Do you have a hobby or an interest that you would like to learn about? Photography, stargazing, cake decorating, rocketry, sewing, etc.

Andes Central Jr. High Volleyball team traveled to Wagner for a Jr High Volleyball Tournament on Saturday September 24. Teams included, Avon. Lake Andes, Wagner, Bon Homme, Gregory, Burke, Hanson and Parker.

The Chamberlain Cross Country Meet, held last Thursday September 15, featured some of the top runners in the state. Pierce Baumberger of Miller ran an impressive 16:49 5K and Isabelle Bloker from Sioux Valley topped the girls field in 18:56.

Anna DeHaan and Lexi Schoenfelder were the two medalists for the Andes Central/ Dakota Christian Cross Country Team at the Platte Invitational Meet on Saturday, September 24.
