The Wagner Volleyball team traveled to Bon Homme on Saturday, September 16th to compete in the 16 team Cavalier Clash. In pool play Wagner first faced AC/ DC and won with scores of 25-1025-20. Next they faced Elk Point/ Jefferson and fell short with scores of 20-25 and 23-25.

On Monday, September 11, Wagner held their local Cross Country Meet. It was a beautiful day for this meet. It was even more beautiful with all of our Cross Country members' parents/guardians in attendance. It was an afternoon to cheer on all the cross country members and to recognize their parents.

On Tuesday, September 12th Wagner traveled to Winner to compete in varsity, junior varsity, and middle school golf. Carter Smejkal took 35th place in the varsity division. Avery Medicine Bear placed 11th and Paxton Kuhlman placed 12th in the junior varsity division.

Your Wagner Red Raider football team traveled to Sisseton on Friday night to spoil the Redmen’s homecoming with an 18-15 win. Leading the charge offensively for the Raiders was Gannon Knebel with 138 yards rushing and one touchdown on the ground.

Wagner traveled to Avon on Tuesday, September 12th to take on the Pirates. Wagner came out swinging and competed well as a team. Scores of the match were 25-16, 25-21, and 25-16. Outside hitters Ashlyn Koupal and Kya Kjeldgaard thew down 12 and 11 kills in the win.

The Avon Pirates hosted Gayville-Volin Friday night where they had the big win 52-22. In the first quarter, Tyler Tjeerdsma had a 31 yard run for the touchdown and a successful 2-point conversion.

Avon Pirates met up with Alcester/Hudson September 7th where they suffered the tough loss 2-3.

Avon Pirates took the team on the road last week to take on Tripp/Delmont/Armour where they took the win 3-1.

The Avon Junior High Volleyball A team participated in the Great Plains Conference tournament on September 9th.
