Wagner’s Chief of Police, Damon Griffith, came up with an innovative idea. He saw that the Wagner Police Department’s uniform sleeve badges were not only very basic but in desperate need of an updated design.
Two members of The Daniel Newcomb Chapter of the National Society for Daughters of the American Revolution, donated two books to the Wagner Public Library on Wednesday, September 25th.
After winning the 7-8 year old girls softball division of the local Wagner Pitch, Hit, & Run competition with a score of 425 on July 11th, Tycara Tuttle was invited to the Minnesota Twins Team Championship in St. Paul, Minnesota. Tycara is the daughter of Laken Nedved and Jordan Tuttle.
The Wagner Community Memorial Hospital-Avera Auxiliary held their monthly meeting on September 25th with nine members present. President Pearl Weber called the meeting to order, and members read the Auxiliary Prayer.
Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
1. Be sure all farm equipment has a fire extinguisher and it is full and operational.
2. Carry an extra 2-3 gallon pump up sprayer with water.
3. Carry an extra water in a 5 gallon bucket with lid.
4. Carry a heavy blanket to help extinguish a small fire.
5. Watch the wind direction.

To kick off this year's homecoming, AHS started the week with coronation. After the coronation was also the “burning of the A.” “The burning of the A” has been a tradition that started in the 90s at AHS.
Vern and Carol Tolsma have owned Mensch Retail Greenhouse for the past 30 years, and then added the flower shop which has been open for the past 20 years. They have become a staple for not only Avon, but surrounding communities when it comes to their flowers, plants, and produce.
