Cody Spreckels, of Wagner, graduated May 7th from Mitchell Technical College with degree in Heating & Cooling Technology and has opened his business in Wagner. Spreckels graduated at the top of his class with a 4.

WEISSER GRADUATES FROM MEDICAL SCHOOL

Ken and Kim Weisser of Brush, CO would like to announce the graduation of their son Connor E. Weisser from medical School. He received his Biochemistry degree from CU Boulder in 2016. He graduated from Rocky Vista University school of osteopathic medicine May 15 th .

AUXILIARY DISTRIBUTING POPPIES MAY 20 AND 21

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit # 11 will be distributing poppies in Wagner on May 20 and 21. Poppy days are a reminder of the cost of our freedom. Millions of people worldwide wear the poppy in honor of living veterans and those who lost their lives.

CHAMBER RIBBON CUTTING AT WAGNER LAKESIDE MOTEL

Wagner Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting at Wagner Lakeside Motel Thursday, May 13. The motel is under new ownership and management. Members were given tour of some of the rooms and also viewed a meeting room which can be rented for graduation parties, business meetings, etc.

Eric and Jaime Wiechmann of Rapid City, Morgan Smith of Box Elder and Curtis and Bette Koehn attended the graduation of Curtis and Bette's grandson, George Wiechmann of Rapid City, who graduated from Mitchell Technical College (formerly Mitchell Vo'Tech) on Friday at the Corn Palace.

FEEDING SOUTH DAKOTA

Feeding South Dakota food distribution will be held Friday, May 28 at the Scotland Community Church at 8:45 a.m.; the Tyndall Fire Hall at 10:30 a.m. and at the Avon Fire Hall at 12 noon. This will continue to be a “drive-thru” distribution until further notice.

AWARDS PROGRAM

Avon held their Annual Awards Program Thursday, May 6th in the Avon Gym. It was opened with a prayer said by Pastor Dennis Webber. The senior choir girls performed "The Defining Moment" and James Tjeerdsma was the Guest Speaker. Fan of the Year went to Bev Schryvers.
