The American Legion Auxiliary Unit # 11 will be distributing poppies in Wagner on May 20 and 21. Poppy days are a reminder of the cost of our freedom. Millions of people worldwide wear the poppy in honor of living veterans and those who lost their lives. The custom can trace back to 1918 when people started to wear a poppy flower in memory of lives lost in WWII.

The students of Wagner Community School have made Poppy Posters and Poppy Coloring Pages which will be on display in various businesses in Wagner during Poppy Days and Memorial Day.
