Avon held their Annual Awards Program Thursday, May 6th in the Avon Gym. It was opened with a prayer said by Pastor Dennis Webber. The senior choir girls performed "The Defining Moment" and James Tjeerdsma was the Guest Speaker.

Fan of the Year went to Bev Schryvers. Loretta Knodel recieved District Educator of the Year. District Classified Staff Member of the Year went to Jim Christjans. Ronald and Carol Swier were congratulated on their retirement, they were also the recipients of the dedication for The Pirate Log, the Avon yearbook.

Ali Sees & Jasmin Frank earned the opportunity to compete at the National Science Fair– Because the trip was available (COVID forced it to go virtual), Sees received $1,500 and Frank received $500.
