MINES SPRING 2021 DEAN'S LIST

RAPID CITY, SD (June 3, 2021) —South Dakota Mines has named 560 students to the Spring 2021 Dean’s List. In order to merit a spot on the Dean’s List, students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for the semester.

50TH ANNIVERSARY

Sherry and Dennis Povondra will be celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary on Saturday, June 5 at Beseda Hall in Tabor with an open house from 5 to 7 p.m. Music and a dance will start at 6 p.m. The event is being hosted by Mark, Crystal and Emma Lynn Povondra. No gifts please.

CHILDREN’S FISHING CONTEST TO BE PART OF 605 UNITY JAM

A youth fishing contest will be one of the activities at the 605 Unity Jam that is coming to Wagner Lake Sunday, June 13. Children ages 5 through 16 are encouraged to come to the lake and try their hand at catching a fish during the contest time period.

CULTURE AND MUSIC COME TOGETHER AT UNITY JAM

If you would like to learn something new about a culture that is different than your own or you want to enjoy some great music while spending time at a lake setting, then make plans to attend the 605 Unity Jam that will be held in Wagner on Sunday, June 13.

BEAUTIFYING MAIN STREET

This group of ladies were busy beautifying Main Street as the filled the large flower pots last week. Workers included: Mary Jo Kuhlman, Mary Kuhlman, Jean Pirner, Dorthy Holzbauer, Sandy Seiner, Linda Soukup and Margie Stone.
