WAGNER QUIZ BOWL

The Wagner Quiz Bowl team continues its march through the winner’s bracket of the Q107.3 Radio Quiz Bowl double-elimination tournament, after a 4-3 win against Winner Nov. 9. Wagner’s next contest is set for Tues., Dec. 7, against Avon at 9:30 a.m.

Several Wagner businesses and vendors participated in the 2nd Annual Sip & Shop event Thursday, November 11th. Everyone reported a great turn out. Thanks for supporting local.

NO FOOL WILL GET THERE

PROVERBS 12:15 : The way of a fool is wise in his own eyes:but he that hearkeneth unto council is wise."(KJV) The Bible tells us that a fool sayeth in his heart, there is no God. So this Scripture tells us of a fool who thinks that whatever he does is wise in his own eyes.

AREA VETERANS HONORED

Wagner FFA members greeted area veterans as they entered Wagner School a special Veterans Day program Thursday, November 11. Olivia Breen opened the program welcoming all in attendance and recognized the Veterans with Roll Call.

Rotary News

The November 10th Rotary meeting was held at their clubhouse on Main Street Wagner at noon. There were several guests in attendance. Glen and Karen Schneider of Pickstown were guests of Kathe and Jerry Henke and Frank Kloucek was the guest of Gerrit Juffer.

SAY THANKS TO VETERANS BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE

This November will be the 39th anniversary of the Wall at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Where did those 39 years go? Is Vietnam getting to be only a memory? I hope not. Some 39-plus years ago a young architect name Maya Lin submitted a proposal.
