CATHOLIC DAUGHTERS TO HOST SOUP LUNCHEON

Members of Court St. Rose of Lima #700 of the Wagner/Dante Parishes, will host their annual soup luncheon Sunday, March 17th, beginning at 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The menu will consist of chicken noodle soup, chili soup, chicken salad sandwiches, ham sandwiches and desserts.

“YES! THE WAGNER PUBLIC LIBRARY DOES TAKE DONATIONS!”

Thanks to Punxsutawney Phil everyone is running around with spring fever! March 10th we will spring ahead and maybe even start our spring-cleaning. If you have books gathering dust and taking up space, don’t discard them! You are welcome to donate them to the Wagner Public Library.

Wagner Hospital Auxiliary

Wagner Community Memorial Hospital Avera Auxiliary held their monthly meeting February 28, with six members present. President Pearl Weber called the meeting to order an members read the Auxiliary prayer in unison. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.

10 Years Ago – 2014 Tara Drews returned to Wagner after a successful lung transplant. William and Jessica Gray of Pine Bluffs, WY announced the arrival of their son, Weston William Gray. The Wagner American Legion held 25th annual sweepstakes drawing.

BH CO 4-H HORSE POWER COMPETES AT STOCK SHOW

BH Co 4H Horse Power competed at the Black Hills Stock Show February 3rd in Rapid City. Winning the Grand Champion Team in Horse Hippology are Lila Stutzman, Tabor; Josie Nold, Brookings; Tarynn Torsney, Tyndall and Hayden Talsma, Avon. Josie Nold won High Point Individual!

10 Years Ago - 2014 The first real snow accumulation of the year hit the area. Dorothy Walkes and Lila Shaefer held card showers for their 85th birthdays. Leonard and Beverly Ratzlaff celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Avon held their annual science fair.

RARE DISEASE DAY SHEDS LIGHT ON MOWAT-WILSON SYNDROME

In recognition of Rare Disease Day which is celebrated on the last day in February, communities worldwide unite to raise awareness and support for those affected by rare and often misunderstood medical conditions.

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT

Grace Vanderlei was born September 5, 2005 to Craig and Amy Vanderlei. She has 4 younger siblings: Lila, Lexi, Bree, and Jon. Grace’s favorite subject in school is chemistry because she likes that Mr. Kuhlman makes everything fun and helps his students when they need it.
