SENIOR SPOTLIGHT

By
Kindra Mixon
Grace Vanderlei was born September 5, 2005 to Craig and Amy Vanderlei. She has 4 younger siblings: Lila, Lexi, Bree, and Jon. Grace’s favorite subject in school is chemistry because she likes that Mr. Kuhlman makes everything fun and helps his students when they need it. Grace’s most challenging task as a senior is remembering you are almost done, so you should give your best effort even if you want to give up. In her spare time Grace likes to hang out with friends and work. Grace’s favorite high school activities are volleyball, basketball, football and boys basketball stats. One thing that Grace will always remember about her time at AHS is being the answer keys to one of Mr. Kuhlman’s chemistry papers. Grace’s proudest moment in life thus far is raising $1600 for frog queen. Grace’s role model is her mom, because she has been there for her through everything, and has never given up on her. Grace plans on attending Northwest Iowa Community College for pharmacy tech. Grace’s best advice for underclassmen is that it is okay to cry. Just keep going and don’t give up. One thing that Grace would do over in her high school career would be the physics trip to Worlds of Fun. Something that Grace will miss the most about AHS is playing sports with her siblings and a couple close friends.
