Jerome Zephier, 35, of Marty died Monday, June 27, 2022 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner. Funeral services were Friday, July 1 at the Marty Community Center in Marty. Burial was in St. Paul’s Catholic Cemetery in Marty. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Bright and early Saturday morning paddlers racing in the Fort to Field 50 Paddle Battle filled the Randall Creek Rec Area. The Battle was from the Fort Randall Dam to Springfield with three checkpoints for racers to catch a quick break and a drink of iced water.
