The Wagner Volleyball team has earned Academic All-State honors as a team with a cumulative GPA of 3.8. Our three seniors also earned Academic All-State honors for their work in the classroom over the past four years at Wagner School. So proud of this group of young ladies and their work ethic both on the court and in the classroom!

Read moreWednesday January 21 turned out to be a very windy day in Wagner. Rotarians had a challenging time opening the door to their Rotary building to get to the meeting. The sun was shining but the wind was blowing so hard that it looked like a dust storm, even in January! It looks like we will be having an interesting rest of the winter in South Dakota!
Read moreAmerican Legion Greer Post #11 held its monthly meeting on January 15, 2026 with 24 members and 5 SAL members in attendance. Commander Rados thanked the SAL members for the delicious dinner. John Crisman was the winner for the queen drawing but drew the queen of diamonds instead. We have a new member tonight as Dennis Soulek, a PUFL member, is moving his membership from the Geddes Post to the Wagner Post. Chaplain Don Kotab gave the invocation which was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. The Preamble to the Constitution of the American Legion was recited by all members. Commander Rados then called the meeting to order. We had a moment of silence for Legion member Richard Dvorak for his recent passing.
Read moreForrest Farley, Jr., 83, of Pickstown passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner. His wish was to donate his body to science at the USD School of Medicine. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the Pickstown Community Church.
