CELEBRATING NATIONAL HAIRSTYLIST APPRECIATION DAY

This year National Hairstylist Appreciation Day is celebrated on April 25th. Hairstylists and colorists do important work all day, every day, whether it is a fixing a bad haircut, advising on a new style or color or just making someone feel beautiful and more like themselves. The Wagner community has some great stylists at the town’s beauty salon, Town and Country. Vicki Jo Koupal, Kara Hanan, Deb Uherka, Dawn Waters and Nikki Sandven. Together these ladies have a wealth of knowledge and experience in the beauty profession.

Greer Post #11 American Legion

American Legion Greer Post #11 held its monthly meeting on April 18th, 2024 with 31 members in attendance. We had three guests, Ernie and Martin Rezac, and Dan Horner. Commander Rados thanked the cooks for the delicious meal. Chaplain Don Kotab then gave the invocation which was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. The Preamble to the Constitution of the American Legion was recited by all members. Commander Rados then called the meeting to order.

SLABA NAMED OUTSTANDING SDCASE ADMINISTRATOR

The South Dakota Council of Administrators of Special Education (SDCASE) recently chose Miss Slaba to be the recipient of the 2024 Outstanding SDCASE Administrator award. Missy started teaching at the Wagner Community School the 2008-2009 school year; this May will mark the end of her 16th year of teaching at WCS. All 16 of those years has been as the WCS Special Education Director. Slaba’s official title is the Special Education Director (B3 services through age 21/district wide).
