On Friday, August 8, Wagner traveled to Clear Lake to participate in the Bravo Division of the VFW 14U State Baseball Tournament.
The first part of this tournament was pool play. In game one we took on Sisseton.
On Tuesday, July 29, the Wagner Post 7319 VFW 14U teeners played host to Elk Point-Jefferson to start their post-season in what was to be a doubleheader but was shortened to a single game due to weather.
The Wagner Post 11 junior legion squad traveled to Tabor on July 28 and 29 to take part in the Region 4B tournament. This tournament was pool play with the other three teams participating being Tabor, Scotland- Menno-Freeman-Canistota, and Winner.
The Avon 10U Baseball team had an incredible experience at the South Dakota 10U State Baseball Tournament in Elkton held July 18th–20th. Despite being on the younger side of the division, they played with impressive determination and skill, finishing the tournament with a strong 4-2 record.
On July 19th and 20th, the Southeast Elite battled 16 other East river 12U softball teams for the 12U Rec state title.
In game one, the Elite took on the Pheasants from Parker. The Elite scored one in the first when Emersyn Haenfler singled, stole second and scored on a single by Rowan Brandt.
On Monday, July 21, the VFW Post 7319 14U teeners played their final regular season competition as they traveled to Corsica for one 7-inning game.
Jacob Kotab was the starting pitcher and allowed one earned run on two hits while striking out one.
On Tuesday, July 22, Wagner’s Post 11 Senior Legion team traveled to Platte for first round play in the region 4B tournament and took on the Scotland-Menno-Freeman- Canistota 79ers.
