WAGNER HIGH SCHOOL THEATER PRESENTS: DOWN IN FRONT!

Wagner High School proudly presents the mystery-comedy, Down in Front, on Friday, March 29th and Saturday, March 30th at 7 p.m., at the high school theater. Tickets are $3 for students and $5 for adults. Activity Passes welcome. Age-appropriate for middle school and up.

Rog's Rod & Nimrod Two weeks ago this column suggested that the oats of days gone by might be a player in our declining pheasant population. I received as much feedback from that oats column as any column I’ve written in the past 47 years, and I feel like a panel of experts has enlightened me.

STATE

We have now concluded the main run of the 2019 legislative session and we have fulfilled our duty to pass a balanced budget for South Dakota. We will return to Pierre for the very last legislative day later this month to consider any final Veto’s from the Governor.

Library news

Hopefully the winter weather is over and the need to close the library because of weather will no longer be a concern. The library would like to remind everyone that the library policy is that if the Andes Central school is closed the library will also close.

WASTING THE FARM

Tax law is generous to farmers. No other industry may defer revenue. No other industry may average back. Further, many alternatives exist regarding the depreciation of farm assets, and this helps control taxable income. Taxpayers occasionally insist upon paying no tax.
