Am. Leg. Auxiliary to Greer Post #11

Greer Unit #11 American Legion Auxiliary met April 18, 2019 at the Post home with 14 members present. The meeting was called to order by President Juanita Stone. Chaplain Kathy Geiman opened with a prayer from the Legionette.

MENTAL HEALTH #1

Wagner is a community on the move. Taking steps forward. Rising together. May is Mental Health Awareness month and the Strengthening Our Community (SOC) Committee aims to bring awareness about mental health to our area in order to reduce stigma and isolation.

Greer Post #11 American Legion

Greer Post #11 American Legion held its monthly meeting on April 18, 2019 at the Post Home. Commander Robert Kucera called the members to attention. Chaplain Donald Kotab gave the invocation, which was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

CUB SCOUTS SELL AND PLANT TREES

During the month of April, the Wagner Cub Scout Pack 261 partnered with the Charles Mix Conservation District to sell trees and plants to the community. This fundraiser helps support the scouts to attend camps this fall at the Lewis and Clark Scout Camp.

This Week in Rotary News

Wagner Rotary Club was convened on Wednesday April 24th by President Jerry Weber with a carefully rung bell. President Weber will long be remembered for his bell ringing ability. Rotarian Laurie Kidd gave a blessing for the beautiful weather, sunshine, and a glorious Easter Sunday.

WRIGHT NAMED DIRECTOR OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Laura Wright has been chosen and will take over the role of Director of Economic Development for Wagner Area Growth following Kelsey Doom’s decision to resign the position.

WAGNER HIGH SCHOOL PROM HELD

EASTER BUNNY VISITS LAKE ANDES

The lawn at Lake Andes Senior Living was full of anxious children for the annual Easter Egg Hunt on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Before the hunt began, the Easter Bunny stopped by for pictures and visit with the kids.
