Greer Unit #11 American Legion Auxiliary met April 18, 2019 at the Post home with 14 members present. The meeting was called to order by President Juanita Stone. Chaplain Kathy Geiman opened with a prayer from the Legionette. The Pledge of Allegiance and American Legion Auxiliary Preamble were recited in unison.

Secretary Barb Kucera read the minutes of the previous meeting which were approved as corrected. Community Service Chairman reported appropriate cards had been sent.

Linda Youngbluth gave the treasurer's report which was approved. She reported on the Soup Day and Bake Sale which was a success.

Jan Coleman gave her report which was on the State Convention June 6-9 in Sioux Falls.

Membership was reported 75 members paid.

Unfinished business: we had poems from third and fourth graders. First and second place's were given out to each grade. A discussion was held on where to donate the money from Soup Day. A thank you was given to all that helped in any way. Linda Youngbluth still needs stamps for Veterans; she will send them out in June.

New business: A motion was made by Lisa Schoenfelder to endorse Kathy Geiman to run for State Chaplain, seconded by Delores Kotab, motion carried.

Our Poppy Days are May 23 and 24. We will need help on those days so plan on helping. A thank you to Linda Youngbluth for donating the quarter basket to the Child Welfare Foundation. As there was no further business to come before the meeting, Chaplain Kathy Geiman read the prayer for peace. President Juanita Stone adjourned the meeting.
