FEEDING SOUTH DAKOTA FOOD DISTRIBUTION FRIDAY, OCT 28TH

Feeding South Dakota food distribution will be held Friday, October 28 at the Scotland Community Church at 8:45 a.m.; the Tyndall Fire Hall at 10:30 a.m. and at the Avon Fire Hall at 12 noon. This will continue to be a “drive-thru” distribution.

The library will remain closed for the tuck pointing project. Watch the Lake Andes Carnegie Public Library Facebook page for updates on when we will be opening. The end of September brought back the face to face meeting of the South Dakota Library Association.

Grain Bin Training

Lake Andes Fire Department held a grain bin training on Thursday, September 29th. This was free providedbyNationWideInsurance and many sponsors including local sponsor, CHS. They had 1,800 applicants and Lake Andes was one of the 65 chosen fire departments.

The Good Samaritan Society of Wagner has been celebrating a large milestone this past month as they commemorate 100 years of service and dedication to the community. The society’s administrator, Whitney Podzimek, lives in Wagner and has enjoyed acknowledging the hard work of this organization.
