Deb Coony at the Lake Andes Coop reported that corn is coming in at 80 to 150 bushels per acre with moisture under 15%, beans are coming in at 20 to 60 bushels per acre with moisture at 8-9% and milo is coming in at 100 bushels per acre with 13% moisture.

The Lady Thunder Runners for Andes Central/Dakota Christian won the Great Plains Conference Cross Country Meet last Thursday in Burke. The team of Lexi Schoenfelder, Anna DeHaan, and Eilie DeHaan edged Freeman Academy/Marion 27-28 and Centerville, third, with 29 points.

Andes Central School Board members were honored by the Associated School Boards of South Dakota for their collective efforts to enhance their knowledge of school board work throughout the 2021-22 school year.

One summer during my college years, I had a roommate who suffered from suicidal thoughts. She’d attempted suicide before we met, and been hospitalized, but continued to struggle.

The Andes Central/Dakota Christian Girls Cross Country Team of Lexi Schoenfelder and Anna and Eilie DeHaan were the team champions at the Wagner Meet on Monday, September 13. The team scored 11 points ahead of Gregory 16 and Scotland 18 at the Meet held at the Randall Hills Golf Course in Pickstown.

Dressler is a Veteran of the Korean War, having enlisted May of 1952. Dressler chose to enlist because everybody around him was enlisting and he wanted to be able to choose his military branch. Gene was born and raised in Claflin, KS where he enlisted.
