MAY DAY TRADITION CONTINUES IN AVON

May Day has become a forgotten tradition. On this day neighbors may leave baskets of flowers on each others doorstep, a popular tradition in the 19th and 20th century. Amy Beeson and Dixie Jurrens with Pirate Prep Childcare are helping carry on this tradition.

ANDES CENTRAL SENIOR PRANK

The Andes Central senior class decided to end their year with one final gift bestowed upon their fellow students and the school staff.

ANDES CENTRAL JAG VISITS ST. LOUIS

Andes Central JAG students went to St. Louis, Missouri for the National Career Development Conference April 16th-21st. Their days were filled with NCDC activities and ceremonies, meeting new people, as well as exploring the city.

SERVICE-LEARNING CLASS

Service Learning is a method of learning that incorporates research, action, and reflection. To provide additional electives and provide opportunities for juniors and seniors to connect to their community and surrounding areas, the pilot course began in January.

CONSTRUCTION AT THE WAGNER COMMUNITY SCHOOL

For most Wagner residents, it is no surprise to see construction happening at the Wagner Community School. This year is no exception. Construction began in early April with the dirt work for the WCS garage project and demolition of four existing bathrooms within the school.

ROUSE “DANCES WITH WOLVES”

Most people have heard of the iconic Kevin Costner movie, “Dances with Wolves”. “Dances with Wolves” was a western adventure movie that was released over 30 years ago in 1990. The movie stars Kevin Costner as a Civil War soldier that develops a relationship with a band of Lakota Native Americans.
