CONSTRUCTION AT THE WAGNER COMMUNITY SCHOOL

By
Megan Fischer

For most Wagner residents, it is no surprise to see construction happening at the Wagner Community School. This year is no exception. Construction began in early April with the dirt work for the WCS garage project and demolition of four existing bathrooms within the school. The school is constructing a 6,500 square foot garage for vehicles and maintenance storage west of the high school parking lot. When completed there will be five garage stalls for vehicles and two oversized stalls for maintenance storage.

Scott Doom Contracting is doing the construction with David Woods as the general contractor. David has done numerous construction jobs on the Wagner High School and has done an excellent job on all of them. The school will also be remodeling six bathrooms within the school. A roof replacement on the early childhood addition of the school is scheduled to start at the beginning of June. The timeline for completion of both the bathrooms and garage is hoped to be before the students arrive in August for the beginning of the next school year.
