MEMBERS RECEIVE 70 YEAR CDA MEMBERSHIP PINS

The Rotary Bell had a staccato ring Wednesday, June 19th as President Becky Brunsing officiated at her second to last meeting. Preparations for a new Rotary year are in the works and Brunsing only has one more meeting before turning the gavel over to a new president.

BOYS STATE SPEAK ON EXPERIENCE AT LEGION MEETING

At the American Legion monthly meeting held Thursday, June 20th, several students from the Wagner Community School were invited to give short presentations after the dinner. Frank Soukup and Carter Smejkal were asked to speak on their experiences at Boys State.

NEW LAWS IMPACTING VETERANS

As an advocate for veterans, it is the responsibility of the South Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs to review all legislative bills that will impact veterans. This year, the department introduced two bills and monitored 29 pieces of proposed legislation.

Greer Unit #11 American Legion Auxiliary

Greer Unit #11, American Legion Auxiliary held their monthly meeting June 20 at the Post home with eight members present. The meeting was called to order by President Linda Youngbluth. The opening prayer was read by Chaplain Margie Stone.
